| her books are enjoying her creations on |
| TV. And vet. in her autobiography, she |
| tells how her first detective story was |
| rejected by four publishers before |
| being accepted. Other famous authors |
| fared no better. One of my favorites |
| had his first book rejected 16 times |
| before beginning his best-selling |
| career. I wonder how many hours of |
| delightful entertainment the world has |
| lost simply because authors became |
| discouraged or couldn't afford the |
| postage to try, try, try again. |
