Play safe and don't go on the rails!

BEST-selling children's author Roald Dahl worked through his last

illness to keep young readers safe on Britain's railways.

One of his final works, Roald Dahl's Guide to Railway Safety,

illustrated by the famous artist Quentin Blake, is aimed at eight to 13-

year-olds and is part of a campaign to eliminate the 100 deaths every year

of people who trespass on railway tracks - 30 of them children.

It's a guide which is wise and funny. This picture, for instance, warns

"If the train is pulling out as you arrive, never chase it and try to get on."
