WHITE THING WHILE visiting my brother I ran short of money and had to borrow £25 from him.     He kindly told me I could pay him back in instalments. After my return home, I wrote him a short letter every few weeks enclosing a cheque for £5 in each one.     He phoned me and said how much he had enjoyed my letters regardless of the money.
