DRUNK AND DISORDERLY

After a long day at work, I obviously
wasn’t paying attention as I walked to
the bus stop. In my exhausted state I
tripped over a paving stone and ended
up sprawled on the pavement. It was
the last straw after a tough day and I
expected some kind soul to help me
up, but instead I heard a man behind
me say She’s probably drunk, as he
stepped disdainfully over my legs. I
couldn’t help laughing.
