Vraag 2

Wet Hair?

“Having wet hair that suddenly gets cold has the same effect as applying an ice cube to your neck to stop a nose bleed,” says Ron Eccles, director of the Common Cold Research Centre in Wales. The cold shock constricts the nasal blood vessels, which actually lowers the body’s resistance to infection. “A damp head can make you more susceptible to colds. If there’s a cold bug in the air, then you’re more likely to develop a sniffle,” says Eccles – providing a valid argument against wet-look perms making a comeback.
